legally, you're supposed to come to a complete stop and count to three... so you should start from first... the only time i start in second is when i'm home visiting my parents and i'm on the side streets... that far north they hardly blow the road in the winter, and i skid around too much in first...

how high are you revving in first and second???

try double clutching... my car is a little harder toshift into first when i'm rolling... sometimes i just say screw it and just leave it in second and start from there... makes life alot easier...

sounds like something my boyfriend is guilty of... you may be revving the engine too high for the gear you're in, and when you change the rpms are still too high and the engine kinda jumps... or you could be letting go of the clutch just a little too fast... try shifting earlier, or slowing down you...
