Re: I'm pathetic.
Not true however. The Papillon is apparently the 8th smartest dog. It even looks like an idiot. Heres the top 10: http://www.petmedsonline.org/top-10-smartest-dogs-in-the-world.html that list would support that larger dogs are smarter in general. out of the 10, only 2 are small dogs. the rest are m...

Re: in a car buying bind
If you're graduating from college in a year and will be getting a nice new car then, don't buy anything but a beater now. Spend like $2k on a car to get you from A to B rather than spending good money on a car you won't be keeping for more than a year. better to get a car that can take you through ...

Re: Snowboarding 101
gotta agree with thedumblonde. boots boots boots. if you're doing park you want softer boots. if you're going backcountry/freeride/powder, the stiffer the better. i personally prefer boots on the softer side and make up for it with crazy stiff bindings but that's me. and like she said. as much as i ...

Re: Gas Prices Dropping
what happened was with the global credit crunch, overall demand for oil dropped drastically. especially in china. many factories in china are lowering output in preparation for the global recession and demand has dropped significantly. as china was pushing demand for oil during the past 2 years, tha...

Re: What tires do you prefer in a winter?
the worst is living in a place where it snows sometimes, but not always. and when it rains, it sometimes ices, but not always. so for most of the winter you have pretty dry pavement. but on some days... havoc ensues. so the question is. do i sacrifice performance and noise level on the dry days whic...

Re: I'm loving the new GTi
the 18 huff's are some ridiculously heavy rims. i forget the going weight, but they were really heavy. i remember thinking about getting them. then just getting the 17's as winter rims and getting a summer set for my gti. there are also two versions of the huffs out. the ronals and bbs. from what i ...

Re: Driving Shoes
i own both pumas and pilotis. i don't even bother with the pumas anymore. for those of you saying, you're not a man until you drive with (insert random shoe) that's not what the argument is. it's more which feel better, give better response. if you notice, both pumas and pilotis heel portion of the ...

Re: 2008 Golf GTI Vs 2008-2007 infiniti G37
Whats up guys, new to the site and enjoying it. I have an 07 GTI package 0, 6 speed, APR stage 2+ and WALK G35/350Z's. They are overated IMO. Base GTI's only weigh 3000 lb. And stock they're detuned so they don't outshine the weak MKV R32. With a few bolt ons and a tune they really wake up. That's ...

I've been trying to figure it out and I don't know which to do... Any suggestions? I think the second method is easier and safer for new drivers. Brake first, then downshift, then turn. Why? Because you're really only downshifting so that you can be in the correct gear to accelerate out of the turn...
