Re: Manual vs. Automatic, long term maintenanace cost compar
204,000 miles here... Drag race Powershift HT DCDS ORIGINAL CLUTCH!!! I dont have good luck AT ALL with automatic transmissions. Even you do perform regular maintenance, its still gonna go out. I'm curious why, by default, they have a throttle delay that could be easily eliminated with a PCM reflash... I can't imagine any advantage to having a throttle delay. Well... I dont know. But I will say this. When the OEM's build cars, they sacrifice performance for comfort. They sacrifice comfort...

I hate DBW!
I HATE DBW! Well, at least in the 2002 Nissan Maxima. And in the 2006 Ford Mustang GT. The delay in those 2 cars is ridiculous. I was driving along on the highway one day and I decided to test the DBW delay. So at 75mph, I stab the throttle real quick. It responded to the initial stab of the throttl...

Sometimes, I left my Maxima drag against the brakes (its got enough torque to do that). When I have passengers, they wonder why the engine is chugging along. They thi...
