Wish I had that much money at my fingertips. ;)

My car was $3,000 USD... and I've been out of money for months now.

The Tiberon is actually IMO a pretty good choice. It's cheaper, more powerful, and probably less expensive to insure than another car in it's class. Don't give me this 'Hyundai's Suck' crap either. While a few short years ago Hyundai was the butt of many automotive reliability jokes, they have stepp...

Street Racing Video

Take a look at this video, its pretty funny and really shows how eccentric the "street racing" scene can get! **Warning**, there is some language in this video, specifically when the racers do something stupid and end up crashing... http://www.ftlauderdaleracing.com/downloads/videos/AntiRi...

For the question at hand, yes, it is MUCH better to learn how to drive on an automatic, and then move on to stickshift. Too much going on at once if you're trying to learn both at the same time. I wouldn't recommend it, although I have heard of some people doing it successfully. And I think it works...

Manual Transmissions are def. better for racing by far. sry dude but ur so wrong its not even funny, autos are soooo good for racing, because it can do it perfect every time, if u disagree than look at any drag event auto's are banned. if you are taking 2 stock cars, exactly the same manual wouldnt...

You're going to have to get a short-throw shifter to be able to shift the lever quicker. I know that on my car, the shift lever can only be forced so quick, or else you'll grind the gears. I don't really see the point in trying to drive really fast anyways. Speed limits are there for a reason, you k...

Most automatics require you to hold the brake and push in a small button on the lever to go from drive to reverse, so you shouldn't have to worry about that. In my mom's Corolla, you can start in 'L', then just push the lever up to '2', and once again flick it up into 'D'. After that there is just t...

I believe it's called 'popping the clutch'. Popping the clutch: Invariably, you will miss your gear (or release the clutch too quickly) and the car will lurch ahead. Often at the outset, you will pop the clutch too quickly and stall the car. Don't worry, it happens to everyone. Just get those exerci...

While we haven't had any fatalities from street racing in my town, there have been incidents in Fresno where there have been deaths. It's a very real thing. While it may be fun for you while it lasts, it's not worth the risks involved. Go to a track and race in a sponsored event. You'll have a littl...

I'm still learning, so I try to get to the friction point as quick as I can without stalling, and then hit the gas and I'm off.

As far as need for speed goes, sometimes I like to get going quick, other times... I could care less. :D

My friend rigged a cigarette lighter as a separate 'key', not sure how he does it, but without it in and depressed, the car will NOT start. Works quite well as a theft deterrent. As far as the two choices you have above, I've seen and used the club, and so far no thefts in any of the cars I've owned...
