Re: Cutouts or a good exhaust system on the goat?
Why not both? My current setup is straight pipes into Flowmaster 40s with Kooks LTs and cutouts...sounds awesome, and scares women and children on command.
Re: 2006 GTO
Yeah, it's been a while, lol. I haven't been on here since I was the only one, I think.

Re: Ever thought you were getting pulled over but got lucky?
Last week, I drove the GTO into Lowell, and coming back on the Lowell Connector (notorious for speed traps, 55mph limit) I was doing about 80, cutouts open, having a great time. I saw a speck waaaay ahead on the side of the road, and slowed way down just to be careful. As I got closer, I could see i...

Agreed on all counts!
Except for the FOSE--you don't need a backseat when you have the hood. 5/5

Re: How big is your music library?
I think about 400 gb. I have a server at home running a 4.5 TB RAID 5 array that just downloads stuff all day. I thought it'd be fun to use it to get the complete discography of every band I could think of. Plus I had a friend obsessed with electronic music who contributed about 60 gigs of that--mak...

Re: driving from a slow speed
Depends on your car. As long as your car has enough power--most do--you can be in second as slow as you like, and start in it if you want. Personally, in my GTO, I'll be in traffic and I can idle down the road in second like most people autocreep.

Re: Driving a diesel truck - what to expect?
The 7.3 Powerstroke is kind of a boat anchor, so that probably didn't help your impression any. A Cummins will probably drive a lot nicer.

Re: Questions about more HP...
I can see you love your car, and I don't want to sound like a jerk, but....if you want power, get something else! Why would you spend the money on a turbo kit for a 4-cylinder when you could just get a faster, better, car? Also, and more to the point, you have to consider the fact that you really do...

Re: The new camaro
Much as I hate to say it, an STI will be faster than an older Camaro. It should be, given the fact that it's many years newer and built for an entirely different purpose. But when you start modifying them, the game changes. Then you find that an an LS1 will reliably and cheaply make a *lot* more hp ...

Re: The new camaro
Any V8 you like is better than any 4-cylinder you like. You get displacement, which means torque--and anyone who thinks a 1000 hp DSM would be drivable obviously doesnt know what *that* is. You also get a smoother-running engine, and a better sound (which is not for nothing). Weight? Yeah right. May...

Re: I'm bored, my horror story about bikers
I don't get why people are so scared of bikers. What, exactly, are they gonna do? I mean, if I really, honestly felt that I was in danger from one, I could just swerve into him and problem solved. And, not to be overly incendiary, but I also haven't got the slightest sympathy for the safet...

Re: Did you build your own computer?
I give Apple one thing--their products are almost art. They are beautifully designed--even if the overall aesthetic isn't really my thing--and the end-user experience is great. Both of which I can admire. But I also hate them as a company, because their philosophy of keeping their technology as wall...

Re: Vista?
My Linux partition is only like 2 or 3 gigs--Windows is FTL as far as resources go. I cannot believe the size of a Vista install given that you aren't even getting any software for the space.
