I'm really glad I spent the $$$ and got Weathertech mats front and back in the truck. Fantastic investment in keeping stuff out of your carpet. Cleanup is a breeze.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

I ended up going with the Samsung S8. Took my chances and continued the tradition now of 3 generations. I really didn't dislike my last phone either which was the worst part of it bricking. I really have thoroughly enjoyed my last two galaxy phones. I feel like the jumps even from gen-to-gen have h...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Phone insurance is hit or miss. I drowned an S6 (they weren't waterproof) about a year and a half ago. Two replacements late through insurance, and the phones were never right. One had visibly wavy screen and mic was funky. The latest one clearly had the screen replaced and it wasn't sealed well. I...

Re: How bad would a 2WD pickup be in the snow?

Now if I could only find a use so I wouldn't feel like a tool driving a full size 3/4 or 1 ton truck with barely a need. FTFY Just don't put on stacks and roll coal...that's as bad as a huge rice wing and 8 inch fartcan. Yeah, Dallas is full of this. There's good money in this city and a Platinum t...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

I've never seen the point either. To see over you'd need to be FEET taller than everybody else. I find I seldom get useful information through other vehicles' windows, between large headrests and the popularity of deep tint. In my experience, even trying often takes enough focus away from other thi...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

The desire to sit up higher for many is a "want" and not a "need". I also prefer the higher sitting position, although it's not the only and certainly not the main factor in choosing a vehicle. I also don't have physical limitations or injuries hindering mobility, but getting out...

The new Impala comes to mind. It makes no sense when you can just as well buy an Equinox.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

I think your average large sedan is doomed. I don't really see a point to it and it has no advantages. Minivans and crossovers are more practical for a family. They also get very comparable gas mileage and seat people just as well. Both are also easier to get in and out of. Footprint is the same an...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
