the battery was dead yesterday and took it to autozone. the battery was bad and they exchanged it. The new battery was checked and I think it had 13volts and passed load tests. What could be wrong with the car that it would kill the battery?

95 jetta wont go into reverse gear, shift partially disassembled wont go down and left to get under stop to go forward left and up to engage. All help appreciated.

yea. I have test driven it and I like it. I hope it does get over 30mpg. That would be sweet. I need to save as much as possible, I'm a student.

Oh forgot to mention, It has only had one owner. They bought it when it had 47 mile. I have read that one owner cars are usually taken good car of.

yep. Tried all those things. The sales man got it working by jigling the key while turning. He actually did it consistently and quickly. Not me though:)He said they would get it fixed.

Turning the stearing weel doesn't help. Nither does pressing thew break or clutch.

update. I fixed the starting problem. I was also in the process of installing a radio and had the wires connected and hanging down. I noticed that when i tried to start the car there would be static in the speakers. I unplugged the wires and the car starts right up.
