Re: My Integra
Honestly, double clutching didn't even help it go in smooth.

Re: My Integra
Well, my clutch decided to go to hell now. It's already making it hard to shift into 2nd gear unless I stay under 2500rpm and if I skip 2nd gear and go from 1->3 I have like really little to no power and takes forever to rev it up. Looking at some clutch kits like on eBay. I did have an F1 eBay clut...

Re: My Integra
Well, this car is amazing. I love the seats in it better than I did in my Prelude. They are a lot more comfortable. The inside feels a lot smaller than the Prelude, especially around the dash area. With it being a hatch. I feel there is a lot more room. Maybe that's just me. The only problems I see ...

Re: My Integra
Sorry to hear about the Prelude. I've always liked those cars. At least you got yourself a nice replacement though... So you popped the airbags going over railroad tracks? Seriously? Did you hit anything afterwards? I'm only asking because airbag sensors usually need a fairly strong decelerative fo...

My Integra
As you might have seen my previous car. 1998 Honda Prelude: http://standardshift.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=18795 I do not own my Honda Prelude anymore as I had crashed it going too fast over a railroad track and belly flopped and caused the oil pan to crack and the subframe to just move whe...

Re: My sexy Prelude
I like the rims. When you drop it another 2 inches, you can just do a "trust fall" into the car seat  . Just don't turn it into a ricer with underglow lighting and crazy curtains or anything... we'd have to laugh at you then   I plan to drop it as low as I can but not way ...

Re: Slushes beating you on the red light..
I have no problems getting off the line. The only problem is my first gear tends to be done as soon I start rolling (be at 3500 before I know it) unless I manage to spin the tires then pfft forget about it. xD

Re: Oh My Goodness. I Am An Idiot.
Don't feel bad mate. Everyone has done stupid stuff when learning manual, etc. I've done it a lot and it only made me better at driving and got me to pay more attention to what I'm doing. When I first started driving my manual. I sucked really bad. Slowly got better. Did a lot of misshifting (lucky ...

Re: New to driving stick
Hehe. My car loves to to buck in first gear. I'll be in bumper to bumper traffic or in a parking lot, if I touch the pedal at all it will buck a little. It's funny, but it's nothing violently. It seems you always give it too much or never enough. Sometimes even does it in second. *shrugs*

Re: My sexy Prelude
Here's updated pictures of my car after getting new rims on her. http://i.imgur.com/BPWDJl.jpg I was at a corner store about to get ready to leave. A black older guy walked up to my car talking about "Prelude." He was telling me how you don't see them much any more. I told him, "Yeah,...

Re: New to driving stick
I can downshift to 2nd for the love of God. I don't know why, I just can't, I always go flying or end up slipping too much. I got another burning smell today. I didn't get any in my first 5 months while learning, and now just this week i've had it twice. Don't feel bad. I ain't good at downsh...

Re: Oh My Goodness. I Am An Idiot.
You were able to launch in 3rd gear? Wow. I did a 3rd gear launch yesterday by complete accident and omfg I never was terrified in my life until then. My Prelude wouldn't go nowhere, had no power and just shook harder than me doing a 5->2 misshift.

Re: New to driving stick
Yeah, I do this sometimes if I try to rush it. Just slowly give it some gas not too much and slowly let go of the clutch until the car starts going then give it some more gas.

Re: New clutch new woes
Well, I just got back from San Antonio. Wow, I can't remember the last time I seen so many hills besides San Francisco. So, I got a work out on hills. My starting off to first is a little quick but it's smoothed out now and not having any issues so far. I think my foot is used to it by now. I notic...
