Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

A lot of these models now are running 2 tier engines with an upgrade which is nice but a lot of the reviews say the upgraded engine (typically a turbo 4) feels fairly weak. Considering most of them have the output of what I am driving now (maybe a little bit more) I'm picturing if I added 600-700 l...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

One of the big problems for me with assuming the "compact" suv class (probably most of them) is I don't understand the throw around of weight. I was lightly perusing the compact scene for instance and with a base 4 cylinder engine and AWD most of these things are 3500 lbs+. I was surprise...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

I agree but I'm wondering why is hurdling the advancement of hybrid tech / electric sources from SUV's. Correct me if I am wrong but I think the only hybrid options for the most part are "compact" SUV's... and the Tesla X if you count that is an exception to the rule. don't forget about t...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

not sure why most of them still have the horrible micro usb though. i'm not sure that any of my android phones lasted more than a year before the micro usb port started acting up. I never liked micro USB except for its pervasive ubiquity, a sufficiently compelling quality. Does anyone remember mini...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

last samsung eye had was an S3 (you red that write), so my samsung experience is outdated. was a decent phone for its time though, despite the poor battery life and performance issues. the screen was different from what other companies were using (closer to the newer OLED or whatever screens they u...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

How do you feel about the different aspect ratio coming from the S7? To me, it took some getting used to since the S8's screen is narrower but taller. In all honesty, this different aspect ratio is where Samsung is going these days, but when I pick up by work S7, I like the wider screen better stil...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

what phone was it?? Which carrier you on now?? I have had mostly good luck buying used phones on eBay. There are other sites dedicated to used phone sales but I forget any of them off hand and don't recall ever buying through one. Galaxy S7 Edge / Verizon. I don't even have experience bricking my p...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Ugh, for the first time since "borrowing" my father's cell phone in my sophomore year of high school I have broken a cell phone. It's not just a shattered screen but it's essentially unusable as the screen just flickers non stop in a seizure inducing like motion. Not too sure what I'm goi...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Wouldn't the crossover equivalent to the Impala be the Traverse? I forget which vehicles fall within which brackets, but I thought the Equinox has less legroom than the Impala. Cruze = Trax Malibu = Equinox Impala = Traverse i think we're missing an implicit part of the point of tone-bone's argumen...
