Aside from being very un-Wrangler in on-road handling, I know very little about how the JL will perform.

Re: Does this unicorn exist?

I sat in a new JL yesterday. I DON'T FIT!! socks balls dude    I've been looking for a YJ in decent shape and will continue to do so. I'll go this route instead and get essentially a project vehicle. Too bad that even YJs in any semi-usable shape command extreme cash here, but that'...

Re: Dodge Dart Manuel Woes

I drove a 200 for about a week as a loaner and I don't think it ever got into 9th in the entire time I had it. It was reasonably fuel efficient, but the interior of the particular model I had screamed "you're in the cheapest Rubbermaid tub we make." The lack of CD player and class lagging...

Re: Dodge Dart Manuel Woes

The 200 was actually far superior to the Dart. The big problem though was that the 9 speed was geared/programmed so poorly for the car that it made driving unpleasant. I drove one from eastern MA to somewhere in NY for training a few years back. On the highway at normal speed limit speeds, the damn...

Re: Post your speed in top gear at 3000 RPM

Absolutely not a myth. There's more to the analysis than, "How much MPG can I accomplish?" The more-complex drivetrain and batteries have costs in up-front manufacturing costs and environmental impacts and at least the potential for higher ongoing maintenance requirements. You have to get...
