Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Heading out to CO and UT Wednesday of this week. We're going to spend a couple of weeks mountain biking, backpacking and hiking around. The weather is still looking to be on the cool site up in the mountains, but this is good; won't get warm until we get to Moab. This is when the truck is going to s...

Re: Does this unicorn exist?

I don't know if I mentioned this. So I drove a 2018 Camaro SS with the 1LE package - the handling package with the trick diff, 305 summer tires out back, killer suspension and a bunch of other goodies. Man, that was a fine ride! If it were my second car, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. It's probably the ...

Re: I think I found the worst thing about interior design for manual transmission cars

My GTO came with a feature when I shifted into first, it changed radio stations for me.

That's what I call awesome design!

Re: Does this unicorn exist?

I looked into a Camaro SS 1LE(the track pack essentially). Man, those things are sweet. There's a guy that regularly rides the local MTB trailhead and he's got a hitch rack setup on his amazing Z/28 Camaro - the new one. My god, I get a hard on when he starts that cammed beast. But, I basically can'...

Re: Dodge Dart Manuel Woes

Interesting... UConnect is by far the most user-friendly infotainment system on the market. Yeah, I agree with this. I had a few FCA rentals when traveling and Uconnect is good. The only issue I have is having to go through it to use heated seats in the current gen Durango. I'd much rather have a p...

Re: I hate this car

I remember my 08 Rabbit I bought new and had for a few years. I also had a bit of a love and hate relationship with it. Man, that seems like such a long time ago that I had it. i remember your grey rabbit getting hit and dented every time you turned around. my grey '12 jetta was also a dent and din...

Re: Do I need a Turbo Boost Gauge?

That's a nice, clean solution, both on the adapter and the general integration into the steering column cover.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

After days of searching, I think I finally found that annoying creak/click on my MTB. My preliminary tests suggest that it was the lower main suspension pivot bolt. I checked it for tightness during earlier searches and while it was plenty tight, I didn't think to check it for lube earlier. As soon ...

Re: Does this unicorn exist?

Going back to the Jeep, I hear they went with a cable actuated shifter compared to the mechanical on in the JK. Wonder how it/if it would impact shift feel. I'm not all too sure how the 6 speed felt in the JK. Just curious is all. For OP. I feel an even more Unicorn would be anything with an I6 and...

Re: Does this unicorn exist?

I actually like the mechanical old school linkage for the manual tranny. I like to see the shifter move a little when you goose it. Anyhow - good guess Rob. I'm 34. Joined this place almost 10 years ago, when internet forums were probably at their highest popularity before facebook groups replaced t...

Re: Does this unicorn exist?

I'd read somewhere that the Mahindra buggies wouldn't be authorized for use on public roads and would be more similar to those big ATV type things from Polaris. Also, I'd read that Mahindra at one time had a working relationship with Willys, or the manufacturers of protoJeeps (I can't recall quite ...

Re: Does this unicorn exist?

Different seats and power seat configurations will often have different amounts of travel, especially in the vertical direction. Might be worth a shot if you liked it otherwise. Yeah, I tried the sport with manual adjustments and it was still too high. And yes, Rob, Mahindra is bringing then CJs do...
