Re: Manuals you'll miss in 2019...
I hate how manuals are going the way of availability on sports cars only. Like that's great and all but, what about wanting a cheap fuel efficient, yet simple, daily. Something like the VW Golf Sportwagen. Before you say, that's available with a stick. I know, but only VW seems to make a wagon with ...

Re: Power Steering Fluid
...and that guy down the street with all the old cars that still ran after 100,000 smiles. Yeah, ha ha. Those were the days, eh? If a car passed 100,000 [s] miles it was a noteworthy event. Now it is noteworthy if a car does not pass 100,000 and more. They even didn't have the odometer go past 99,0...

I found a pretty cool site for news and recalls
https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/
It's interesting some of the stuff that comes up on there. Most of it are people suing for recalls or suing for other purposes. Kind of scary when you think of it. But very interesting as well.

I love that generation of Mustang. Specifically the LX but the GT is a close close second

Re: Finally got another car
I just feel so much better not having to worry about ruining the front clip of my car as I pull into these driveways. Plus, sometimes it's hard to align yourself perfectly. Especially if you need to break through traffic. The low profile tires are another thing. Especially with the way roads are. Th...

Re: Finally got another car
I sold it. I just wasn't a fan of the sporty nature of the car. Bumper was too low so some finagling was needed to prevent scraping of the fascia. The low profile tires made some bumps a PIA. Though I did get used to it. Still, pot holes and other things were definitely worrisome. The gearbox was al...

I love column shift automatics. If I get an automatic, it must have a column shift.

Re: I think I found the worst thing about interior design for manual transmission cars
I think a good compromise might be the fore/aft placement along the right side of the shitter, parallel to 5/6 or 5/R. Obviously that would have to vary in LHD and RHD cars. I think you're right. Though many cars probably don't have the real-estate. Some can barely fit the shifter. It's just funny ...

Re: I think I found the worst thing about interior design for manual transmission cars
I usually rest my arm on mine as well, though if its a coffee mug my mouth goes on the lid. I work at a place with lots of people so my coat could potentially carry a lot of germs/bacteria etc. I'd rather that not be in my cup. It's just funny how it's something so overlooked. I never expected a 199...

I think I found the worst thing about interior design for manual transmission cars
Cup holder placement. On my Civic, the cup sits behind the shifter. This means when you're shifting around town, the cup does not get in the way. On my volvo, it sits directly behind the shifter. This means when you're shifting around town, the cup is right in the way and you need to have this awkwa...

Re: I hate this car
IIRC the previous gen Regal was made in Germany till 2011. 2012-2017 they were made in Canadia. 2018 they were made in Germany with the new generation. I'm heavily contemplating a previous gen German one. Might be a bit more simpler than the current gen with no Turbo etc. I wonder how they hold up. ...
