Another cupple raisins for DBW:
No space underhood to route the throttle cable
Isolation of powertrain vibrations - exspecialty wiff dissels. Control cables are great for transmittion, like the string in a tin-can telephone.

Ok I'm not bothering to catch up on the misc thread. Anything important I miss? I just bought a Ford Tempo today for $160, she was asking $300. http://www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/10419710 I don't think I can lose any money on this deal. The first thing I am going to do is replace a brake bul...

Re: Ford Fiesta
Well, the 1.6-liter engine is the biggest one you can have the Fiesta with in Europe, so it's natural that it'll be the smallest one available in the States. 120/140 hp is still quite a lot for a car of that size. We had the previous generation Fiesta for a while (100 km in the odometer!) with a 1....

You guys totally missed my point about active sway control operating the trailer brakes. Here it is in steps: 1. The same program that is used to automatically recognize sway (by monitoring tow vehicle wheel speeds) recognizes sway. 2. It applies the electric trailer brakes. All of them. Doesn't re...

Re: College Student Missing His Car
Universities often have rules and regulations that usurp student's "rights". Most often, they are trying to usurp the student's rights to fail miserably. It's good for the university's image and it goes along with all the other promises the university made to your parents that they would w...
