Re: progress report: race condition shifts

haha ahtoxa. your post was just so terribly off topic, i wasn't sure if it was simply some strange innocuous thought, or a hint at my poor race car driving skills. recall i thought i was good enough to be professional, but now, as i go places and can't close a 1-2s gap, which is light years compared...

Re: progress report: race condition shifts

well if you're saying i'm full of shit. who knows, maybe i am.

however, i do find many of your posts funny and entertaining. that would be up there in the top 10, but aside from PCT, i can't name others.

touche.

(to my own defense, given what I gathered from the context of the op's post, i assumed the remedy to his troubles would place him in conditions requiring the HT technique)

Re: Hand position holding the stick while doing the shift

When downshifting from one gear to another: I would suggest you use your centering spring as a guideline. The linkage for most shift patterns should allow a linear motion to select any one of the gears from the center position. (except for 6 speeds, whose reverse gear should require disengaging a re...

Re: progress report: race condition shifts

Gary, Thank you! Sorry I didn't respond sooner. Please don't take offense to that. That was all cogent advice. And I'll try hard to keep it all at the forefront of my thoughts when I'm driving. Unfortunately, my time at the track is very limited, so I won't be able to report back on that progress an...

progress report: race condition shifts

i've been trying to monitor my shifting to determine what i've been doing wrong, what i need to change to do those things right, and how quickly i've been making progress in doing so. these are some of my findings. problem: my rev matches are off. cause: lack of confidence. even if i'm taking the sa...

Re: ***Official Joke Thread***

I was buying a large bag of Purina at Wal-Mart and was in line to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog? I could just hear Bill Engvall whisper in my ear "Here's your sign" So on impulse, I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, and that I was starting The Purina Diet again. A...

looks like you need to recreate the video without the black box. if you're using movie maker, it's easy to do.

Re: Hahaha...24 Hours of Lemons was Awesome!

Very cool video. I always got a kick out of the lemons. Did you have a spotter during the race? I continue learning a lot from your videos. You are a big asset to this website, or just aspring racers in general. I owe quite a bit of what I've learned to you. Also, if you ever know beforehand that yo...
