Re: Another Day, Another Idiot Driver (Misc Thread for Stories)
Today, Noah had to come, but before he arrived and had all the locals board his arch, there was very hairy driving. All roads are flooded, or at some stage of flooding. So I am the middle of nowhere, literally, and it is coming D-O-W-N. I had a major rectal clench when someone in a white SUV came in...

Re: Hot Import Nights Honolulu (LOTS of pics)
what? I didnt say that...read, it is an important skill today, especially on the internetz! In actuality, I implied no such thing. I said they weren't for me-which, um, is exactly what you reiterated in a condescending tone. I never said it was the law, I never said i knew, all I implied was "t...

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q233/mesaboogie18/DSCN1513.jpg That turbo is huge. Huge, unfiltered, and impossible to spool with that engine. you know nothing. that F20C will walk all over your saab n/a, it makes 240horse stock, and that GT35 isnt that big in the first place, and an F20C can ea...

Re: My puny race
Uh, no, if I have the car launch @ idle, then stomp it, it turn the fronts to nothing ASAP. I have the car moded, so I am pushing out probly 220ftlbs of torque @ 2100rpm. Boost hits really hard and really fast. Unless i super short shift, there isn't really any way mitigate the wheel spin. I have fi...

Re: My friend and mine's debate

She turned into my Gf after two or three more races :) The newer 6p...

Re: My puny race
I can whomp, eat alive, and spit out a 2008 civic Si from a roll with my Saab. They are NOT torquey engines those vtec (why???). Where as my humble, old school, inline 4 with but a humbler turbo, cranks max torque from 2100rpm to 4.5k. This why it need be from a roll, because any feisty throttle act...

Re: Driving with ABS
The ONLY reason, and I mean the ONLY one, is that when you lock the wheel in snow they plow snow ahead of the tire, and the weight of pushing the snow proves sufficient to slow you down more. Abs would permit a roll over the snow. As a previous member said, a huge aspect is steering-not stopping. So...

Re: Driving with ABS
I'm not heralding ABS as the best in braking. I'm saying, that everyone should quit knocking it. Wait till you actually need it-"I'm a man-I don't need no airbags, no seatbelt, no stinkin' Abs". I also guarantee that most despite their claims, cannot "threshold brake" especially ...
