Re: New to driving stick
only 205 hp LOL I tried short shifting at 2K in 1st and ended near like 1K. How did the car react? Smooth, quiet acceleration? Unpleasant noise? Floored pedal but no acceleration? If the car didn't tell you that you screwed up, you didn't screw up. Ask your car, not us. dont LOL, after you drive 22...

Re: New to driving stick
Well what if you're just slowing down (by braking) to a stop light and you know it's going to turn green? You wouldn't really need to brake hard. not really a heel-toe situation brake in gear or in neutral, when light turns green, blip and put in desired gear and ur off. effectively double-clutchin...

Re: Car buck/jerk near idle speed while in first gear.
this is pretty normal. just get off gas, and then very gradually apply gas again. if u just feather the gas at idle speed it will buck.

Re: Your worst moments
the other day, finished gym, pecs were wasted, got into car and attempted to put into reverse and back out of parking spot
and that was my first ever 6th gear launch.

Re: New to driving stick
True. I'll try that. My rev matching has gotten better and going down my street I tried a 4>3 heel toe and overevved the crap out of it, but it felt good. Going to keep practicing it, because I don't really like going VROOOOM downshifting to 3-3.5K before every time lol. i love it. i do it on purpo...

Re: Mis-shifting
Only time I mis-shift is 3>2 gear downshift. When I physically move the shifter like I do from 5>6, I always shift to 4th. It's just an awkward motion for me, so I just put in N, then all the way left, then down to 2nd. why dont u just pin it towards reverse as you pull the shifter down. its not go...

Re: No gas launches
man blipping is not noob. if you understand that certain $2000 ceramic puck clutches like those have 0 fritcion point and slipping for even normal street use will give it a 3 month lifespan. blipping and catching the revs as they drop back down is pretty much the only way you can drive smoothly with...

Re: Honda Civic Type R Turbo USA
Saw this on the same site... http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2012/06/honda-civic-type-r-caught-testing-near-the-nurburgring-spy-photos.html Ew! That thing looks like it's going to be riced out from the factory floor haha. If they do go the route of a 2.0T, and they stated it would have very simi...

Re: Honda Civic Type R Turbo USA
A Civic Type-R would be super-rad here in the US, but think about it. It will be super-marked up, making it a bad value. Plus, the minute you get it home, it'll be stolen. Hey, whats the deal with Honda's always geting jacked? My friend had a honda, it was a '94 civic hatch, didn't look great, wasn...

Re: Rev-match accuracy inconsistent?
.... and now im thinking.... That might be your problem. Don't think about it...just do it! Make it become a reflex and you won't have to consciously think about it at all.... How quick does it usually have to be done? When I need to rev match (since my car has no torque i'll usually not go a...
