Over 2 years later and this thread is still going strong :D

Irony is we never raced... We both got new cars. She's got a brand new Camaro. V6 AT, but still a quick car.

And me, the TTZ obviously.

I'm gonna try and tempt her over spring break or summer... Should be interesting.

don't know about "demolish"
Base Number of Cylinders: 6
Base Engine Size: 3.6 liters
Base Engine Type: V6
Horsepower: 304 hp
Max Horsepower: 6400 rpm
Torque: 273 ft-lbs.
Max Torque: 5200 rpm
Drive Type: RWD
Impressively, the new Chevy Camaro is an excellent performance-car value whether it's equipped with the base direct-injected V6 or the optional V8. The V6-powered base Camaro can sprint to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds, thanks to 300 horsepower...
In our performance tests of manual-transmission Camaros, we've recorded 0-60-mph sprints of 6.0 seconds with the V6 and 5.0 seconds for the V8.
stock:stock, quarter mile times seem to be similar between the two as well

It would be a good race methinks :D

I think I'd win though. The published 0-60 for my Z is 5.0-5.5 seconds, and so given for the certain loss of power over 20 years of wear on original engine, with intake and exhaust to help make up some of that  , I think it'd be a pretty even match, mainly dependent on my driving skills.

I'm sure her Camaro has traction control so she'll just be brake mashing. My Z has no traction control and crappy rear tires and mad wheelhop from shot suspension bushings...

From a roll, my race. From a dig, mine to win or lose, lol.
