would you like to explain to us HOW you're winning

you've said before that you are 14. afaik, no states allow 14 year olds to drive, unless they live on a farm (correct me if i'm wrong, guys, it won't be the first :P)

so how can you be winning against the fuel pumps?

Alberta does. And they have low ass gas prices there because the province is basically sitting on an oil field.

Naw you'll die from the cold. And since you cut all the trees down you got no shelter.

Gas in Calgary today costs about 1.295 a liter. That's about 6 cents better than here in Ottawa, but it works out to dime under $5.00 a gallon. So y'all south of the border got nothing to complain about yet.

exactly (yes, i know, i complain. but i shouldn't)

and i read somewhere (here) that ND is getting RICH off of oil. turns out there's oil under their farm land, and the gov (or whoever) is drilling for it, and b/c its on their land, they're getting money :) (instant millionaires, anyone?)

When you guys up north start paying for health care AND $5 a gallon gas, then you'll have something to tell us not to complain about. 8)

Good point. All those nations with the high gas prices tend to forget the perks they get from the government that we just have no chance at. Id rather pay more for gas if it meant quality national health coverage or more required vacation time.

Funny thing. People who study the US health care system say it is in crisis and needs to be run more like the Canadian system. People who study the Canadian health care system say it is in crisis and needs to be run more like the US system.

Can't speak too intelligently about that, but from this site and this Wikipedia article, not really. At least for income tax, they pay about the same. Sales tax is a bit higher, though, averaging around 10-11%.
