2015 Honda Fit announced
As a former Fit owner, I am happy to see the model doing so well. One encouraging snippet from the review:
"The 1.5-liter RS sports version mated to a six-speed manual gearbox delivers on Honda's S2000 and NSX heritage. Perfectly matched to the 1.5-liter's high-revving engine, the manual's short throws and tight gate with a pleasing mechanical precision allow for quick, sure gear changes at all speeds."
However, I don't know if the U.S. market will be getting an RS equivalent.

Look at the wheels. They look so small in relation to the body of the car. And with the general trend of wheels getting larger on newer cars, it makes those smaller wheels look even more out of place on the next generation Fit.

^ as long as they fit the tires and reach the ground, I'm OK with them. Large wheels are over-rated.

Keep in mind that the Fit is a cheaper economy car, hence the small wheels.

So is this, but it doesn't have tiny wheels in relation to it's body:daleadbull wrote:Keep in mind that the Fit is a cheaper economy car, hence the small wheels.

Well, the point is that a car's wheels should be in proportion to its body, otherwise, it just looks funny. And actually, the Scion in the picture above almost looks funny because the wheels look big on it. I believe those are 16" wheels, but the car itself is so small that the wheels look really big.daleadbull wrote:^ Touche.

To me, 18" or 19" wheels are perfect on most modern cars. I've also noticed that some of the larger trucks & SUVs come with 20" or 21" wheels on them and they seem to look like a proper fit due to the sheer size of those vehicles.

Those wheels look too big on the Scion. I am generally ok with small wheels but I do think 16s would have looked best on the fit. In oics they look like 15s.

Yea, 18's are perfect in terms of looks/performance for most cars but most economy cars come with 15/16's. Most base models still come with steelies with hub caps on. But that Fit does looks like it has alloys on it, all be it really tiny alloys.Shadow wrote:Well, the point is that a car's wheels should be in proportion to its body, otherwise, it just looks funny. Too bad it's made in mexico. I enjoyed test driving the 2010 and I almost bought a 2013.
So I read the article, despite where it is made I will definitely look at one. The RS seems like a sweet car.
Shadow-I think it's both the angle and probably the trim they showed. This one doesn't look as bad

Maybe the old fashion odyssey with 4 doors, but that could be said about anything with 4 doors and a hatch...tankinbeans wrote:It's a mini-Odyssey!Shadow wrote:Look at the wheels. That's because of the corporate front end, mostly.
I never understood the whole concept of a corporate front end accross the lined up. Never liked it.

Re: 2015 Honda Fit announced
The previous generation Fit looked a lot better. I don't care for the redesign.
