W.r.t. the rocket brakes: Jr. would find a way to reverse them for a boost of speed and to catch some air.
w.r.t. the compressed air car: I doubt the claimed distance. That much compressed natural gas might not even get you 500 miles.
w.r.t. wheel motors: too much unsprung mass makes it difficult to keep the wheels in contact with the roadway.
w.r.t. automated tire inflators: really? ....Really? Get your lazy butt out of the seat and go hold an airhose up against the schrader valve.

Thanks Bo.

Yeah, I totally agree about the compressed air car. That invention keeps getting invented and never has that kind of range. Also, they pretend that the air is the fuel, but it's not; fuel is used somewhere else to make electricity, which is then converted to compressed air and the energy stored in that compression is what drives the car.

The wheel motors sound a lot like modern hybrid hydraulic wheel motors.

Automated tire inflators did eventually come to fruition and were installed onboard so you could use them while you drive your Hummer.
