Let's get back on topic. Please save the FWD/RWD argument for the Misc. Thread.

PS has a good point. Not only is the swearing getting out of hand on the forums, but the attitudes between members has degraded as well. It doesn't matter how you all treat yourselves or each other in day-to-day life; this is the internet, and what you post represents not only you, but our community.

Frankly, our community has been and is looking less desirable by the day. Sure, other forums cuss and post lewd pictures, but we don't. That sets us apart. Don't forget our purpose here - we are a beginner-friendly forum dedicated to helping standardshift drivers better their abilities.

We have a Rants and Raves section for just that - ranting and raving. As long as it is done in a respectful manner (PG-13 & under), we are OK with that.

Again, this is not you and your friends talking outside of the movie theater. This is forum and we want to be as inviting and cordially to the outside world as we are to each other.

We are currently working on new measures to curb and significantly cut down the profanity and disrespect that exists around Standardshift today. Stay tuned for more info.

I strongly believe that there is no need for foul language. I manage to go about my day without having to swear. I use three languages every day and have the ability to swear in all three, but I chose not to do so.

If you feel that the only way that you are able to express yourself is to swear, then the grasp that you have on English and your ability to use it is, therefore, extremely poor.

Yeah, I really don't have a problem with the swear filters. I can usually process a thought and eliminate all vulgarity before I type it. Or you could pull a Roman and use creative substitutes, like 'defecation' and 'fornication'
