Hi guys.
Just a thought. Maybe sticky the "[Manufacturer_Here] Pic Appreciation" threads in the Pictures section? Now that almost everyone has an appreciation thread, this might help them not get lost in the fold.

I second the motion. I thought about it as I looked through them. Or maybe a sub forum within pictures if thats possible?

A sub-forum is a good idea. I'll go with that.

Yea a sub-forum would be best I feel as it keeps it more organized and you can add more Appreciation threads without them getting stickied and wasting room in the photo and vid forum.

You cannot create sub-forums in this version of phpbb.
You could create a whole new forum though.

definitely don't want a whole new forum just for that. too bad we can't have a sub forum. maybe one day when the board gets upgraded we can do that.

Tell ya what. Anyone can feel free to start a "Blank Appreciation Picture" thread in the Photos section. If it's popular (2-3 pages with lots of views), we'll sticky it. If it dies off (i.e., the "AMC Pacer Thread"), we'll let it go. Sound good?

Good compromise. Though the random off-topic stuff thats so abundant around here will probably make some of the threads longer than what they would be if only the on-topic stuff remained.

maybe we should prune the appreciation pic threads to only have pictures and comments related to the pictures? thoughts?

See how out of hand it gets first. I bet something thats said might be useful in some other situation. Maybe not prune, per se, but replant all of the off-topic stuff to one shared collection thread so nothing of value is lost?

Now John, what do you have against the Pacer?
How could you not just love that?
