Site is slow?
Since I've been coming here this site has been slow sometimes. I click 'post', for example and it takes almost a minute to load the next page. Sometimes this happens when I first open the site, but sometimes it does not. This post could be fast and load the next page right away and the next would be deadly slow.
This happens on my work laptop and my home laptop. Different ISPs, T1 at work and Cable at home.
All other websites load fine.

Unfortunately, just because you're experiencing the slowness from 2 different ISP's doesn't mean that the problem is with the site. The traffic could just be hitting one slow hop in it's path that is causing the delay. It could also very well be the same hop causing a problem. Regardless of where you're coming from, the site is hosted in the same location - so the last few hops are probably the same from each of your ISPs, any of these could be causing "slowness".

I'm not even gonna post what I just found out, since a Cracker could rip the forum to shreds with it...
Wow...
Ummm... I wonder if Standardshifter knows that...
EDIT: Maybe not, but.. Hmmm... I can name a few facts about the site... hehe.

On some of my sites on dreamhost, I have the same problem. It really appears to be the overhead in mysql connections and queries across their internal network. They deny it - but whatever - I'm pretty familiar with it. Nothing ss can really do about it - except move to a new host - and Dreamhost is really affordable.
