SS Contest

Post by black94boost »

Hey, I was thinking about having a contest. I've been to a few forums that have ride of the month contests. I know there are many members with nice rides and picture taking skills. We can have a contest and have members vote on which cars they like best, and then that car wins the title of Ride of the Month for the current month. Then if we have a whole 12 cars that win, we can probably make a cool calendar! What do you think? Of course, it would be nice if you could take some "nice" pictures of your car. :P

How about car of the week?

That way you get your 15 mins of fame and other people can get on it as well.

Maybe once we pick the winner the pic can be placed at the home page where the RSS feed is currently?

Does anyone really look at that feed?

I don't know about weekly. We might run low on rides! :P We can have members submit the best pictures of their car, and we'll take like the first 10 or something and start a poll, then by the end of the month, the car with the most votes wins that month. I'm sure all the rides in the poll will get their fame 8)

Damn I need to remember to bring my camera when doing deliveries, sometimes on certain rainy nights I wish I had a camera.... dark rural driveways and a mediocre rain makes for an awesome effect.

For me it comes more down to photography skills than an actually "ZOMG" car. ;P

I go to the home page if I've closed my browser and need to go back to the site. Otherwise, there's usually a tab with the forum open.

Pretty much the same. I don't bookmark anything, usually. I just type it into the address bar, and usually leave out the /forum part. :D
