Re: Board Updates Ongoing
Please make the rss feed go to the post it associates with I only use the rss feed these days to optimize my time usage, browsing through all the threads and stuff wastes too much time.
Some of the emotes don't show and just are text on the left when posting...
Could you combine the site banner and ads into one line to optimize space usage...
It's different but hey, newer has got to be better.. right ?

The navbar and ads at the top will need to wait, since at 1024x768, both won'ty fit side-by-side currently.
As far as the RSS goes, just grabbed something quick to get the feed up and running with the new software, will work on getting a more flexible feed available.

Actually, I agree with having the ad-bar at the top and the SS banner below it. This way the ad-bar stays at the top and doesn't separate the page. This way the forum stays in one piece without any ads forcing their way in between posts like some horrible forums that I've seen.

I'm guessing that Standardshifter zombied the language filter to his own script or something?Leedeth wrote:Ok why is it not working? suck.

Also nope.Leedeth wrote:Nope.jomotopia wrote:so is everybody seeing topic/post icons on the left now?
That and as I said before, clicking the new posts thing on the forum page always brings me to the last post rather than the first new post. That annoys me even more than the thing being on the wrong side.

If you are still seeing user information on the right side, that was changed in the morning. Dump browser cache.

Whoa, everything looks so different! There is so much to look at when I'm scrolling through a thread. I don't feel at home anymore.
Looks good, though!
Just an idea: have you ever thought about a peer-ranked post ranking system? (i.e. members can vote certain replies to a thread up or down giving the post +1 or -1, respectively.) It wouldn't need to have any huge effect, but maybe a simple rank on the top corner of each post to let readers know the accuracy or even just the level of agreement with the poster's post among members. I don't know how complicated that would be to implement, but I've always thought that would be a cool feature to help point towards the most accurate information in a thread without having to read through the entire thing.

now that is super cool!

Re: Board Updates Ongoing
I love the new look. It looks way better and there are better layouts and its more enjoyable to use the forums. I actually got so bored of the look and style I didn't come on too much. I'm going to be very active within the next month because next month my birthday comes and I'm able to apply for my Learners Permit, The day I've been waiting for all my life. I've also been a member of this forum since I was 13 years old and I will be 16 next month..Its amazing how my dream all these years will come true next month! Anyway, Love the layout guys and I can't wait to fianlly hit the road with stick next month!

User info on the right? Did someone say that or am I missing something? Its most definitely on the left.Standardshifter wrote:If you are still seeing user information on the right side, that was changed in the morning. Dump browser cache.
A new issue. I cant hit back on the browser and go back a page in the thread, as in after hitting the next page button then trying to go back. Instead of going to the last viewed page in the thread it refreshes the same page.
And yeah, Ive deleted cookies temp files etc but the new post icon is still on the right in the thread itself.

Oh, andis there / can there be and option to hide the little online/offline indicator in the avatar? I usually know the poster by their pic and with that everyone is the same.
