Youll make more money selling it for scrap. Also, you wont get much response on here. Craigslist is your friend

Re: dodg spirit for parts
I'll jump on that bandwagon.
Just take off anything you think you might be able to sell, drive it to a metals recycling facility, drive onto their scale, drive to the pile, walk onto the scale, walk to office and receive money. Google reports curb weight at ~2900 pounds. I don't know how much mixed steel is going for now but you're probably looking at about $200 with none of the hassle of trying to sell a car. Maybe as much as $400 (or maybe only $100).
OTOH, there are minor moral reasons to sell it as a car instead, relating to scrap metal going to China to support their economy and/or the environmental cost for recycling a car vs. someone continuing to drive it, etc...if you care about those vague and muddy issues.

Or I believe you can donate the car (some restrictions may be applicable) and get a bigger tax credit than what you would sell it for.
I would either do that or part that sucker out. More money in parting it out, for sure. The downside is that it takes time and often times you have to take the parts off yourself.

Re: dodg spirit for parts
Would it even be possible to part that out? There would have to be enough people with similar cars who need parts...

Re: dodg spirit for parts
I think it could work parting it out. It depends. Given the following parts are in good condition it's feasible. Headlights, tail lights, bumper covers should be easiest to sell since I suspect people that do own those cars may have dings or dents or cracked lenses... Perhaps a radio - huge 'maybe'.
Glass could be sold potetially - primarily the windshield. If the interior is in good shape maybe the consoles or seats.
That's about it.

Re: dodg spirit for parts
Hmm...strip the valuable parts, then scrap the rest. Now you don't have to keep a car rusting in your driveway.

Also, the remainder of the car you could still sell for scrap. Majority of the steel is still there.

*ahem*...
It's a Spirit.
EVERY Spirit owner could use something.
Trust me on this.
However, there's a reason that you usually don't see people parting out cars outside of junkyards.

Re: dodg spirit for parts
we sold it to a mechanic who fixed it (blown head gasket) and gave it to his friend whose car had died...such a nice guy.
