Wanted: 1999-2004 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L, New Edge SN-95

Post by Leedeth »

Must have the 4.6L V8 and be a 5-speed manual transmission. Black exterior colour is preferred.

So what makes this mustang better than other cars, and what makes the 4.6L engine good?

Yes I am seriously considering getting this because a 99 GT popped up on CL for 5500 firm, which I think is a great deal!

Apparenty according to roman the 4.6 mod (dohc i think?) was pretty advanced tech for v8s. And they sound tits as shit with a good exhaust. Get Roman in here to explain or pm him. Link to the cl post?

200k is a lot for a 99 isn't it? That's what, about 126ish thousand miles? Damn I've got a problem. I'm literally stuck in the year 2000 in car terms. I think anything above 95 is fairly new, and I'm not adversed to getting anything over 1990. Even though 126k is normal mileage, it feels like a lot since I'm stuck way back when. Damn the 90's were a good time for carmaking.

Anyway, it's a damn nice Stang. 8) Love those wheels and the paint. I say if it's in good condition, go for it dude.

The car is in great condition there isone small area of paint peeling on the right side of the rear bumper. Couple of inches nothing major. The interior is in great shape 2 small small holes in the leather other than that it's very clean. The only modifications have been a on air filter and flowmaster exhaust system. I get the oil changed every 5000k with highest synthetic oils available. Also have replaced altenator, serpentine belt, and cleaned the injectors. The only current problem is it needs a new egr valve, a relatively cheap part, and I'd get it fixed before selling it. Other than that she's in great shape. I can send pictures as soon as I get onto a computer yes. 35th anniversary just means it has different badges on the sit of the car and comes with leather and cruise, and power everything.

http://victoria.en.craigslist.ca/search ... ry=mustang

http://www.usedvictoria.com/classifieds ... on=mustang

Those are the two sites I browse for car listings.

If you do your research, you will see that all other cars are higher priced, taking into account year, engine, and transmission, than this one that I have found.

So my car is 99' as well, i've got round 135'000 kilometers on it. If that helps you out @ all on figuring out how much this car has been driven.

So this car probably did 20k km per year.

Yours did 13.5k km per year.

I though 20k km per year was a reasonable number? The van my dad has had over 20k on it when he bought it when it was a year old.

My MX-3 was driven 14.8k a year.

My firebird, 11.5k a year.

So yeah, I see. It has quite a bit more mileage than usual.

Wow, wheelgap!

It's a pretty good price, yes.
I would certainly run a carfax seeing as how the passenger side headlight has been replaced and the paint is peeling. Looks good otherwise. See if the 200kilo service was done which includes timing belt and water pump.
In this economy, if you're buying a sports car, you'd better get exactly what you want. Make sure everything is good to go; otherwise, offer him less.

If it doesn't have a clean title, offer $3k and walk away when he says no.

Steeda Shortshifter

I managed to pull off 260 RWHP and 302 RWTq... thats a crap load.. remember this car only has 260 HP at the crank and 300 TQ at the crank..with my mods i was able to have the same amount of TQ at the Wheels as i did at the crank and the same amount of HP at the wheels as i did at the crank..
go ahead and get some 3:73s or 4:10 gears for it..and you've got one quick a$$ car that will pretty much put a hurtin on anything on the road. with drag radials and 3:73s...there arent many cars even on the track that can take you on.
