Oh man...I retract both my previous statements. Let's just say Mustangs sound very nice. I'm off to go edit my lewd post about watkin's mom

Just wondering Leedeth, why do you want another car other than just finding a good deal? I forgot the status on your MX-3 and what your dad decided to do with it but if already bought the Firebird, I don't see why you'd suddenly want to change tack to a Mustang.

Because the bird was pretty much an impulse buy and he regrets the purchase
Re: Wanted: 1999-2004 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L, New Edge SN-95
No it's still a great car but I want something that won't fall apart on me. One problem I can't figure out and probably won't fix because it ain't broke, there's lots of resistance going in reverse when the wheels are at full lock either left or right.
This car only cost me 3k including repairs.
Also it's only running on 7 cylinders remember so it's slower than stock.
I want a newer and faster car, but I want a good price at the same time. This one was a good deal so I went for it but there were problems and the new downpipe cost a bunch.
There's this weird problem with the wiper stalk, sometimes when I turn it off, it will keep going on low instead, so I have to turn it on and off a few times to get it to turn off.
I got what I want, V8 power and sound, RWD. All that good stuff.
But this is an old car. It's going to die soon. I want something newer that will last longer.
Interior fit and finish isn't exactly to my liking I am finding now. It's a dump, gauges are hard to see because they're so far apart and everything, steering wheel blocks some of it on turns and all.
I dunno, I want newer and more reliable with nothing falling apart.

I have two things to say to this:
1. It's not going to die anytime soon if you take care of it. Why do you think cars from 1925 are still on the road?
Newer doesn't necessarily mean "will last longer"... Trust me.
2. That car may well be worth a lot someday. I say fix it. Learn. You need to learn how to fix your cars, bro.
There's no better teacher than doing it. Necessity is the mother of invention (or in some cases, ghetto-rigging of the highest quality) or in this case, learning.
I'd take a kick to the nuts to be rocking a car like that, man.

He's wrong. It's going to collapse into dust any day now, and it's already worthless. You should give it to me, I'll take the risk of having a car disintegrate.comingbackdown wrote:1. It's not going to die anytime soon if you take care of it.

guys its running on 7 cylinders it'd be weak sauce. either fix that or get rid of it. seriously an 8 cylinder car is made to run on 8 cylinders.

Most likely I'd have an idea what the problem was in five minutes to two hours depending on what it is.Bawked wrote:guys its running on 7 cylinders it'd be weak sauce. either fix that or get rid of it. seriously an 8 cylinder car is made to run on 8 cylinders.
That thing will probably be worth some cash at some point.
I'd keep it.
Chris, you really don't want to pay insurance on a newer car anyway, especially a Mustang. You think you're getting raped now... You don't even want to know...

mullet wagons are worthless. everyone who likes them or wants one already has their garage, front yard and back yard full of them, so theres no demand for them.
edges are great looking cars with rims and drop (lol), and they are quick in a straight line, but utterly useless at any kind of turning. cant rock mid 70s grandpa cruiser suspension and expect it to work, but cobra independent rear is a direct bolt on

It's tough to find a 1998 Camaro V6 manual, and the ones I find are all overpriced. That tells me that supply is less than demand. Perhaps all the mullet-heads are hoarding them.permabanned wrote:mullet wagons are worthless. everyone who likes them or wants one already has their garage, front yard and back yard full of them, so theres no demand for them.
