gearbox track for 95 jetta

Post by skylark »

Anyone have a track that goes on the left hand side of the gearbox? I have a 95 vw jetta. Hear is my post on one of my problems. It has some pictures. http://www.standardshift.com/forum/view ... =5&t=11169
The problem on the track is the hang down part is getting bent.

After looking at the pics, it looks as though you could fix it by pulling it out of there and laying some fiberglass resin over it, letting it dry and then shaping it to fit/form close to what it used to be.

You'd have to clean it real well and be sure all of the oil is off of it.

For something like this that is hard to find I always try to fix it myself first.

Good luck.
