Just putting it out there...

Anyone have a previous-gen STI they want to sell? Preferrably in Crystal Gray Metallic.

I am also looking into getting a WRX, although I prefer the '05,'06, and '07s. I'm not sure if it'll happen though. They're hard to find and may be a little out of my price range. I may have to settle for a 2.5i. We'll see in the next few months.
Two pedals, two feet, too easy.

This whole thread sounds vaguely anti-Crown Vic. Say it ain't so!

It's definitely not anti-Crown Vic. No way. I love Crown Vics.

I just miss driving a tight turbo-4 manual way too much. It was definitely a great experience driving the Crown Vic around. Very imposing car. But, I had my fun with one, and true to my membership to this forum, I just have to switch back to the kind of car that got me here in the first place... I hope you understand. :)

Nah I totally understand. I commend your Crown Vicness, and your altruistic motives for giving up the six in the first place.

good stuff, change is good.

i want to sell the mr2 cause i'm sick of it.... stuff driving the same car for more than a few years. You live life to experience things, and i applaud six for trying out different cars. He may realize the six is the right car for him and one will be waiting for him if he does want another down the line.

it's not a big deal that someone sells a car.

I like driving a different car after a couple years, but I don't want to give up the old one. Usually financial concerns stop me from doing it either way. That's ok, I'm happy enough driving the same vehicle forever. I love my GMC, why would I reject it?

I have an issue with wanting to drive something different every 3-4 years as well. I solve that need with two cars. The crappy one can get traded for something else of similar value while keeping the nice one.

So... question...

While in active search of WRXs in the area, I came across a few enticing STIs... What I was wondering was, should I make the jump to a much pricier STI? They are so nice... and with just a wing-less trunk swap... you know the deal.

Anyway, the real questions. I came across a few STIs that are near or over 100k miles. Generally speaking, are Subarus known to be good high-mileage cars? I'm not much of a Subaru guy, so I don't really know... Would an excellent condition STI with over 100k miles be a good buy? Or should I expect it die on me in the near future? There is one I am eyeing, an immaculate Crystal Gray Metallic 2005 STI in near stock configuration with 108xxx mostly highway miles... It is spotless, and has all the necessary "little mods" such as stronger bushings and whatnot. Stock engine and exhaust, which is good for reliability... I'm babbling.

Just wondering. Thanks. 8)
