Yeah. Well, we'll see. I have time on my side, although I'm really itching for an STI. Most of the same stuff I enjoyed from my Mazda (4-doors, 6-disc in-dash cd changer, auto climate control, nice gauges, nice shifter, turbo, AWD), only much faster and handles much better; however, with more overt styling, though.

Hey Guys! :D

So, I know I haven't been on SS lately... I had this lull where I had time to visit often, then things got busy again and I went on hiatus.

As you might have noticed, I am not looking for an STI anymore (look at title of thread). Or WRXs. They are too expensive (inflated value), believe it or not, compared to other cars. I guess it's due to the popularity and scarcity of these said cars.

Anyway, while I was on my WRX/STI hunting adventure, I came up upon a very nice 2003 Acura CL Type-S with a 6-speed. It is great, has much of the stuff I miss from my MS6 (like 6-disc in-dash cd changer, automatic climate control, leather seats, great gauges, and most of all, the 6-speed stick and clutch) and even has the thing I most desired that was missing from the MS6: memory seats! 260HP, VTEC! I get to experience VTEC now, which would be cool, and the engine sounds great. Best of all, it's less than half the price of the STIs I wanted. The only downside, it's FWD. :(

I will hopefully get it next week. If so, I'll post pictures in the cars forum. :)

What the heck is a memory seat and why do you need one?

It's a bench seat, usually in the rear row of seats, where you first made love with someone. Don't they have drive-in movie theaters out your way?

A memory seat is a power seat where you can set positions that it will return to at the push of a button. I hate power seats in general, but memory seats often come with some nice features. Many have an entry position; they will automatically move back while you enter the car. Also, they often associate their position with which key fob remote was used to open the car. Many use the memory for other things like mirror positions too, and will adjust the side mirrors automatically when you put the car in reverse.

those are really nice looking cars. i don't think most pictures do the car justice; they look kind of old and conservative in pictures but the ones i have seen look amazing in person (other than maybe the front end with the weird acura triangle grill). i started seeing a silver one out in front of the hotel and on the streets shortly after i got my accord. i haven't driven one or even been in one but, based on the looks of the car inside at least, i'd imagine it is more luxurious feeling and overall refined inside than an MS6 or any WRX. and you can bet i was kicking myself for not looking for a CL instead of an accord (not that i could afford a newer CL)
