Interesting article about Chrysler Europe, but it's really generalized.
Chrsyler acquired Simca in the 50's and even sold them in the US for a time. Chrysler in the UK created Rootes Group when acquiring a fleet of aging and obsolete car marques (Sunbeam, Hillman, etc.). Some of these Brit-built Chryslers were also imported to the US in the 60's.
Talbot was also acquired, and the badge-engineered Plymouth Horizon-Omni was developed for that line, first as Talbot, then later Chrysler. That car was supposed to have replaced Simca.
Autoworker strife in the UK in the 70's, plus inflation really ruined this venture. Chrysler is still in Europe, though. You can buy your Jeep Gran Cherokee or 300M at any Chrysler dealer.
