Manual for the U.S. Market Only!??????

Post by Rope-Pusher »

"When you think of the California coast two words come to mind, beauty and power. And those two words also describe the BMW 6 Series. Especially the all new 650i Coupe.

It follows the convertible, which was released earlier in the year. The Coupe has a longer body, longer wheelbase and is also wider than the previous model, but that’s not all that’s new.

Customers also get two transmission choices.

A manual, just for the U.S.? We must be in the bizarro world. The Coupe moves from 0 to 60 MPH in just 4.8 seconds. And the top speed is electronically limited to 155 MPH."

Well, at least it's not as ugly as the previous body style. It's still ugly though....

Don't get me wrong...it's an improvement over the last version. Gone are the weirdly droopy-eyed headlights and the Bangle-butt trunk lid. But from the rear the car now reminds me of a Honda Accord Coupe for some strange reason.

My neighbor has a new one in black, but hers is a hardtop convertible.

I always heard that that Mexican Guy, Jesus, drove an accord, but I think he switched to a new set of wheels lately:

I think the new 6 is beautiful. Too big and not sporty enough for me, however. But it is remarkable it is offered with a 6-speed.

6 speed + BMW twin-turbo V8 ... :D
