I think the context here is having the ability to drive and do other tasks at simultaneously, without actually concentrating one more than one of those tasks at a time. Just like I can chew gum and walk at the same time, I can also drive a car and talk on the phone. But since driving a car and talking on the phone require more concentration than chewing gum and walking, I'd say that it is more difficult to do both of the former tasks simultaneously. Have you ever been driving your car when you're deep in thought and not even thought about shifting it, but of course you were shifting the car?

Where did they find these people?

I dunno....but there are people on this very forum who seem to think that a Jeep Wrangler is a drivers car. 'Nuff said about that

And the Focus isn't that bad of a car to drive, from what I've heard. I wouldn't put it in the same category with real drivers' cars... but I would put it above your average vehicle.

I agree. I'd put it above a Jeep Wrangler though. LOL

Okay, that's two times in this thread....and that's more than enough.

Agreed that the Focus is not a terrible car. I have driven many over a couple of different gens. It's just the fact that he says they're a driver's car rather than an A-B car. If those are the two categories, the Focus definitely falls under A-B car.
Two pedals, two feet, too easy.

At least until focus RS makes it over here in a number of months. Allegedly a very nice sporty car.

I actually like the looks of the new Focus, as long as it's this body style:

I have the first generation and I think the suspension is pretty good. It is fun to throw around the turns.

Anyone who's never driven the new Focus should drive one. It's a great car. The clutch and stick shift is one of the best out there, the clutch is the perfect balance between road feel and smoothness, and the gear shift is extremely smooth and precise. The well bolstered seats hug you in place, the suspension and steering is tight but not overly so, and overall it truly feels like a drivers car. I would've bought one if it weren't for the too small back seat. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the busy centre dash, buttons are hard to find. There was a phone dial pad on my tester without the Ford MyTouch system for freak's sake.
