There is always a story out there about how a car thief had to abandon his target because he could not drive a stick. Here is a link to one with a video. Video does have an annoying ad that you have to watch before seeing the would be thief in action.

That looks like a mid-'80's Ranger. What kind of neighborhood was this where that was worth carjacking? I would think that would be fairly safe in most parts of the country left running with the door open.

i still don't get why they hire all these carjackers without checking to make sure they can shift their own gears...and some one who's been around the block, stands tall and carries a gun who never learned to drive stick?? must be embarrassing man

Could also be a carjacker who is very high on something or running from the cops and isn't trying to jack a worthwhile vehicle.
