I Wonder what the new wrx will have. A 2.0? with the same engine?

Ha! Just after I said that the FR-S needs a turbocharger and now it looks like that may actually happen. I'm telling you, it will be a fantastic little car with a turbo on that boxer engine. As it is now, there's just not much torque and it makes the car feel weak. A turbo is just what the doctor ordered!

it will probably have the same engine it always had.

with 280hp, the brz sti should be pulling in the mid 12's to very low 13's easily, assumung the weight is still gonna stay around 1200-1300kg

I dunno about that. I mean, that's an extra 80 HP on a car that basically runs about 15 seconds flat. My guess is that the car should run low 14s, maybe even 14 flat with an extra 80 HP. Sure, it's a lightweight car (relatively speaking), but it would take a lot more than 80 HP for these cars to see 12s.

forgot its not AWD

but with such a light car and power not too far off from an wrx sti, trap speeds should be similar.
