"For the first time in its 30-year history, Acura doesn't offer a manual gearbox."
Here's an older article from earlier this year. Acura has more of a problem than just the shift to CUVs. Their naming, exterior design, and increased competitiveness from the competition are all factors in reducing sales for them.

It completely makes sense, but this is one of the most interesting things from this article:
Does the CR-V even come with a stick in the US anymore?
"But wait," the stick-shift purist in all of us cries. "Honda still sells plenty of manual transmission cars. Why can't Acura?"
It's a volume problem. "Three models—Accord, Civic and CR-V—each sell more than twice as many units as the entire Acura brand," Abuelsamid explains. "In each case, the number of manual-equipped vehicles likely exceeds the volumes of any single Acura model. From a business case, it's easier to justify the resources to develop and certify a manual for the Honda than for an Acura."

I believe the CR-V lost its manual when the 2nd gen was released for the 2002 model year.

Re: Why there are no more stick-shift Acuras
we had manual cr-vs stateside through the 2006 model year (last year of 2nd gen). they dumped the manual for the 3rd and 4th gens (2007+). if i could find a clean 2006 manual cr-v, i'd jump on it.Standardshifter wrote:Does the CR-V even come with a stick in the US anymore?
