"This report provides basic summary and exploratory data analysis of the mtcars dataset located in the R datasets package. We focus in particular on determining whether automatic or manual transmission is better for fuel efficiency, and then quantify the difference between the two."

Interesting page Google dug up. Not sure of the data, but it did pique my interest as to the dataset/R software package used.

Results have manuals being much more fuel efficient, but also showing how manual vehicles are much lighter. Makes sense if you look at which vehicles still offer manuals; skew very heavily towards economy cars.

You need to be careful with statistics, or you'll have cancer causing smoking.

Whoa whoa whoa. Hold on. Statistics cause cancer? I need to go tell my friend who is in a statistics class that she needs to drop the class before she catches it!

It's true. Before statistics, we had no documented cancer statistics!

Can you back that up with statistics?
