You all should come down to/up to/over to Albany - it seems like it's a common denominator to all your locations.

Plus it's <30 minutes south from where I live. But that has nothing to do with it... 8)

Having gone to school in Albany and living only 1.5 hours from there now, I'd totally be down for an Albany area meet. There are (or were at least) lots of cool restaurants and places near Albany and there are lots of fun open roads in the outskirts (i.e. Voorheesville, Clifton Park, Guilderland, Delmar, etc). I know it wouldn't work for some, but I for one am down :)

Albany is not a common denominator for a real New England meet. Most of us are eastern Mass, RI, and eastern CT (if more members from the northeast notice this)

I personally think more local meets would be better. I dont really have the time for a multi-day meet, so I dont want to do much traveling.

Sounds like a good compromise if we've got people from Eastern MA and upstate NY willing to travel 1-2 hours. Is this Saturday too soon to organize anything?

If I do, I will have to go there for a week or so, because of the long drive. It would make little sense for me to drive there for a day or so.

I'm not so sure this will be feasible until spring with the new job and all. I will not be taking any vacation for a while for sure.
