Atlanta SS Meeting

Info is right there. Would anyone from the Atlanta area be interested in a meeting at a Hooters or something similar? We could also have a short cruise if anyone's up for it.

hmmm, cross post... nobody ever looks in the regional areas huh.
how many ATLiens do we have active on here? i'm pretty busy with house and car maintenance/projects and planning a wedding, but i could be down for a lunch or something if we can get at least a few people together.
i imagine i'll be nervous of the shifting skills critiques if people want to ride in my car.
we should have an Atlanta SS Track Day at Road Atlanta! 'cept i don't have the money for that at present.
i know there's JackBauer and JHamilton, and i know there's a few others but the screen names escape me at the moment.

There's a thread in the regional forums that asked for all the ATL people to speak up. There was like 20 people at least, but most of them don't really post much. I know there's you Jomo, JackBauer, JHamilton, and a few other people who live around Atlanta and post a lot.
And you're right, no one ever checks the regional area.
Here's another idea, we could also try and drive other people's cars. I would let people try my car, if only in the parking lot of where we're going to eat.
The Florida people had a meeting, so I don't see why we can't....

JHamilton, did you used to go to GTO club meetings?JHamilton wrote:fwiw...the Georgia GTOs are meeting at the Pie on the 21st. I can meet at the Pie anytime because it's less than a mile from my house.
I remember when the Georgia Fiero Club had meetings at the Pie a year or 2 ago, it was 2nd Saturday of every month and we'd sometime see some GTO's show up. Any chance it was those GTOs? Any chance you were there?
I've been involved for around a year and am now a moderator on the local forum. I don't remember seeing the Fieros meet, but I know some guys in our group that were fixtures up there...I gaurantee there was a yellow one there. This meet is a yearly thing, and is for the "new age goats". Feel free to stop by on the 21st around 1-2pm. I expect 20-30 cars a few of which are pretty special.

Ummmm, ok, the first+second weeks of May won't work, since I have finals the 1st week and I'll be in Boston the 2nd week. Last week won't work either, I'll probably be up in Minnesota.
Let's plan to meet on the 19th of May at American Pie on Roswell Rd.
Atlanta SS Meeting!
Where: American Pie off Roswell Rd. @ 285, Sandy Springs, GA.
When: May 19th, 2007 @ 3:00PM
One problem is that they require people to be 18 or over, because of the smoking. So keep that in mind.

I've never been to the dragway. I know its like 20-30 miles from where I am on the west side though. Where you live Jack? I live in Marietta.JackBauer wrote:thats a ways for some food, how about the race track?
I think for the dragway we'd have to go on a Friday night right? I think they have open runs on Friday nights.
