Potential SoCal Meet (Gauging interest)
Heya everyone,
Just wondering who all would like to meet up, say in Pasadena or San Dimas. Those are the places in which I actually know where some stuff is heh.
In Pasadena, we could probably meet up at my work, hang out, test drive each other's car, then go to a restaurant for food over on "Restaurant Row" in Monrovia.
In San Dimas, can meet at San Dimas Canyon Park do a picnic/BBQ thing. I am going to have to find out how far up we would be able to go but we can drive up the mountain, pretty twisty I think. Been a long time since I've been up there. Of people are feeling adventurous, we can walk up the creek.
And in either location, if someone knows a nice drive we could go do that too. (ie, Phil could take us up GMR, if it's finally opened up).
Anyways, just getting a feeler for who'd wanna go do something. Post up some ideas or other locations too if you could think of any. Also time frame, you would prefer. I'm good for pretty much whenever.

Interest! San Dimas is no more than a half hour drive from my house. Schedule is rather flexible, provided we're talking Saturdays/Sundays.

For you... nah. J/K94Corolla5Speed wrote:Take pictures!
Of course there will be pics, provided there is some actual interest. I think there is like 7-8 people within a 1-2 hour driving distance. If we can get say... 5 to say they will go... I'd be fine with working to set things up.
And yeah, it would have to be on the weekend.

Okay, so that's two 'yes' and one 'maybe', if we do one in Jan/Feb. I know there are more SoCal'ers here than that....

we can do it in Feb or even March. this will give enough time to get as many as possible and attempt to plan things.
And F' spell checking heh. Gauge is probably the word I misspell the most.

just came back from driving the mountain road I was thinking and it's like 1.5 miles long from where it actually starts going up the mountain to the block off/turn around. Pretty fun, very small road, mountian on one side and cliff on the other.

Wow, why didn't I find this thread earlier? A west coast meet is definitely a must.
8 hours is a long drive and I would need to make sure I can secure a m/hotel room if I was going to do this.

Re: Potential SoCal Meet (Gauging interest)
It's because the regional section is too low on the page. It's hard to see if there is any activity.
Any-hoo. I don't think this will happen anytime soon. I wouldn't want anyone to drive 8 hours just to hang for a few hours then have to get a room and drive back the next day.
I think we'd actually have to find out who all is interested and then find a place somewhat in the middle of everyone. And hope someone is close enough to that location to show us around. Or we can just all caravan out to State Line or Vegas or something heh.

Plan this in R&R where people actually read. The big meet has been small but successful the past two years. Im sure you could get a great group of guys (good alliteration) together for a west coast shindig.
