Nothing to do with China. Honest.
I would have called it "DPRK" - Democratic People's Republic of Kalifornia, but that would be a bit too obvious. The allusion that I'm making is that California is headed along the same path as the REAL PRoC when it comes to government - the rest of the US calls Cali a "pinko" state for a reason.

I used to be 3-4 hours outside of Toronto, and an hour outside of Ottawa. I've since moved to Montreal, though.
