Also means that if i wanna get some decent opponents on online games, I gotta stay up till the middle of the night! But then again, maybe you guys should just stay awake when I'm awake 8)

Well I'm at GMT+4 and I use the computer at really odd times (3AM or 11 PM) so I guess it all balances out.

Most of the times I find something to reply in the replies themselves not the main topic.
Do not try to find 3rd, for you may not always reach it. Just go up and let it reach you!

Time zones made sense when people could travel at only sailboat speeds. Nobody got jet-lag when they came to a different continent. Now, with fast travel speeds and internet connections, we should all operate in the same time zone. Every 4 years, like the Olympics, a selected nation could become the time zone host.

Err... I don't really understand how abolishing time zones would affect to jet-lag of which people suffer from when travelling east or west. Sun would still rise at your destination when your body says it hasn't even set yet, and you would feel like shit and need a drink no matter what the time was according to your watch.

First, it would help you forum posters and others who want/need to be on the same time schedule together.
Second, we still can't travel at light speed (come on Science, what's keeping you?), so it's not like you would get to the other side of the earth and be 12 hours off in your solar day.
Third, the reason I suggested rotating time hosts is that there is no way getting around the sunshine factor. Some areas would feel like they are "working the graveyard shift". There is no way of getting out of that for a lot of folks now, hospitals, factories, stores, and other employers need to be staffed 24-7 already. With 1 time zone for the world, at least those folks would get to see the sun for part or parts of their careers.
