Another great shirt from Blipshift

Post by cls12vg30 »

I have their "BORED" shirt, got one for my brother, too. Today's shirt is another great one for the manual-head:

not sure i get that one; is it supposed to be indicating or implying skip shifting and multi-gear rev-matched downshifting??

edit: haha, six beat me to it, kind of

Is it the firing-order of an inline-6 engine? Maybe that is it.

Yepper. That's It! Read across it gives the firing order. Follow the numbers consecutively it gives the firing positions in actual physical order.

153624

That double effect does not happen with the standard 4 cylinder firing order:

1342

The puzzle now is for me to figure out why. :? (EDIT: Got it. It's just an artifact of the firing order. The 4-banger would do it also if we had a firing order of 1324.)

Alas, after 34 years I no longer have an inline six. :(
