It's 5 MPH in the US, legally mandated by the DOT.

hmm.. that's the same as for here in Canada. So how does the Evo make it into the US but not into Canada? From what I've heard, the reason why Evo's aren't allow into Canada is because the bumper couldn't withstand teh 8km/h (5mph) test. So how... how is it in US but not Canada? :?

hmmm i will have to look it up later but it was something about impacting on the front bumper at low speeds can't do any damage and they didn't want to have to put all sorts of reinforcmenet for a FMIC or something like that. after i get home i will try to search it out.

I personally don't like big wings, I like small ones. They look more sleek to me, but just my preference

I don't like wings either. Makes the car look cheap IMO. Also they block rear visibility which aint good. But I guess its needed in the STi and Evo since they pack horsepower in such a light car you need the wong for downforce.

only when you get up over like 125mph. as far as blocking rear visibility... the worst part about that is it is at the exact right place to hide the lightbar on top of a police car behind you. :?

Big wings looks good on some car (that serves a purpose; ie: GT style wing on RWD cars like a S14 or S15, RX-7 etc). The wings on the STi and Evo looks good IMO
