i have to enquiries
1. wat is the best way to upshift...is it ok to upshift while still accelerating...ie. accelerate hard than clutch in while still accelerating than complete the shift....
2. wat is double clutch to upshift

double clutch is pressing the clutch twice to shift.... example...
double clutch downshifting:
assume your in third gear
1. press clutch
2. put the transmission on neutral
3. relase the clutch
4. clutch again
5. second gear
about your upshifting question... it's kinda confusing but don't despair look at the faq portion or the video... i think there is a previous topic about upshifting you can look that up too...[/i]

I think what you're asking about on #1 is never lifting the gas. I believe that's usually called a power shift. There are those who do it, but it's very hard on the car. What should be done is to let off the gas to the point where the engine is neither speeding you up nor slowing you down, clutch in, shift, and clutch out while using an appropriate amount of gas to match the RPM's the engine will be turning.
Usually, in a car with a synchronized transmission, double-clutching to upshift will not be necessary.
