Forced Induction is a turbo/supercharged intake and Naturally Aspired (NA) is a normal intake.

Spinning the tires

Postby 90tonaes » Sat Jan 29, 2005 10:40 pm

when i spin my tires and dont rev high enough, i get some "wheel hop" and my car shakes....which is no fun. I usually have to rev over 4K to avoid this...is that normal?

I think so because the faster u drop the clutch the more the gas u should apply.

Wheel hop depends on your rear suspension. Some cars are better than others in that regard.

4.) relase the clutch and step on the gas at the same time <--- this step is very quick if your slow the car will stall

no it wont, dropping the clutch at anything above 2K rpms and the car wont stall

rev to 2k and drop the clutch without hitting the gas and it will stall.
if you wanna chirp them, which doesnt look as cool but is a better way to launch just rev higher and drop the clutch faster. if you wanna smoke them, rev it to where your engine has decent power, come off the clutch fast and floor it. also use bleach on the tires.and i dont wanna hear about how thats bad, i know it is, but it looks cool.

well, while we're resurrecting threads, i am curious, how do you do a burnout with AWD? I wouldn't want to do it, can't afford the tires, but just curious if it's even possible.

You can do 4-wheel donuts, but I don't think burning out in place is possible unless you are up against a wall or something.

Dont bother doing it in an AWD. You'll end up killing your drivetrain before much happens...

You'll need gobs more power to do it well, but try tons of bleach if you want. ;)

bleach on the tires will make them smoke, but only if you are spinning them.

The absolute best way to get this out of your system with no damage to the car is this : turn the wheel all the way to one direction. stark acclerating slowly
once you make 2 revolutions, floor it, and you'll get a decent 360

Please make sure you're using a rental car when you're doing this...
or when you're about to change to new tires...
