Alltel Motorola Q9c with Windows Mobile 6.1

Performance: 7
Handling: 8
Practicality: 10
Reliability: 10
Cost to own: 10 with Alltel - 0 with Verizon
Feasibility of Sexual Encounters: 40

Performance: Pretty good with the V8, err... Windows Mobile 6.1 makes this phone a lot more responsive than the same device with Windows Mobile 6.0. The phone could stand to be a bit more snappy like an HTC; but hell, it's a Motorola.

Handling: Fits very well in your hand and the bar shape makes it easy to use and is more easily used with two hands for very quick emails or text messages.

Practicality: The only thing I can fault the phone on is that it's easily dialed in the pocket (I have pocket dialed people before). This is solely because I'm too lazy to lock the keypad. I never leave the phone in my pant pockets unless my pants are baggy or have deep pockets.

Reliability: Battery life is the ROXZORS. Can go 3 days on a charge if you're not that busy or it easily goes a day-and-a-half if you're hard on it. Phone has never given me a problem EVER! I had to get a warranty device from Alltel due to the phone I received couldn't have been upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.1 (long story)

Cost to own: Data plan is usually a must... I'm unsure of other carriers but here are your plans.

Verizon - Email and Web for Smartphone - $29.99 per Month or $44.99 for corporate email/web.
Verizon also offers a Nationwide e-mail plan but the pricing escapes me. The $15 VCast-VPak will not work with the Motorola Q - you can activate the phone with out a data plan. When you purchase/activate tell the person you want the pay as you go MB feature. You'll then be billed for whole MB increments at $1.99 per MB.

Alltel - I don't know a lot about Alltel's plans, however I'm paying $85.00 for two lines, 1200 minutes, unlimited data, SMS/MMS, on one line. I have the Connect Plan 3 for those of you who are interested.

Feasibility of Sexual Encounters: "Graham; that's a really nice phone (Moto Q9c). I like Windows Mobile 6.1, too. I want to spend the rest of my life giving you the Dutch Rudder!!" You can store an endless supply of porn on the MiniSD card optional with the device. Thanks to Windows Media Player you don't have to spend all your time masturbating at home when you could do it at work, lunch, a public restaurant, the bus, the long commute home, and let's not forget Church! Seriously, though - there's no place to store condoms or an emergency morning-after pill so you'll have to wrap it with tin-foil.
