Not sure if you know this or not, but you can get traffic without subscribing to radio.

BTW, in my area, the traffic service is very accurate.

Do you mean that you can get traffic on the NAV without Sirius? How? I thought that required a subscription.

It does. A subscription to traffic. Costs a whopping $4/month.

Just in case anyone cared, I've been using the RAM suction-cup/arm/X-holder assembly. It's a tad pricey, but I like it. I use it all the time. A 1m cable reaches from the cig lighter to the left side of the dashboard just fine with one plastic clip to hold the cable. (I keep the phone on the far left side---not the center of the windshield)
