V8 rumble sounds awesome. I stlil like boxer rumble better though. Also, what's with the tagging:

Sorry, that auto stands for automobile, I clicked that thing that suggests tags after I finished.

Also btw I did find that oil dipstick. My dad had to point it out to me, it was hidden under a rubber hose.

Those sneaky hoses!

At least yours just hide things. Mine turn to dust when you touch them.

sounds decent, would sound a lot better with the hole in the y pipe welded up. 305s are a weird specimen of the SBCs, i always found 305s to be the best sounding. i dont know why, 350s and up are very barky and chevy like, 283s and stuff are kinda not even there.

a suggestion for next time, go drive your car around then film the video that way your not making a video of your fast idle.

w00t at auto class we just got the new downpipe installed, it sounds mint. Like a tamed beast.

Cost me 700 bucks including tax, it came with headers, which I can't put on because there's no room, probably have to drop the engine to install them, so we didn't do that, but it came with headers and the downpipe to the cat. So we installed the downpipe.

Expensive shit this is, I hope it lasts a long time.

No, scratch that. It BETTER last a long time.

It's a terrible investment. Enjoy it.

They're custom Edelbrock pipes, I don't think they're longtubes but there wasn't really any choice, I needed that exact downpipe, otherwise it wouldn't fit.

well its kinda hard to not know whether they are longtubes or not, open the box and look at them. most probably not because if they were LTs, the stock Y pipe wouldnt fit. you wasted 700 dollars of your money on shorttubes. you couldve got way better longtubes for way less.

if you were really that desperate to fix the exhaust hole, there are tons of different options that cost a couple bucks, like drop the Y pipe, cut out a piece with the hole in it and weld in a new piece of pipe. that would cost the price of a few nuts and bolts and a tube of red RTV

The whole thing was thin so welding the hole wouldn't last. There was a hole in each downpipe, each side.

I don't think I can even get longtubes because this exhaust still sticks out a bit under the car, just a bit. If I get longtubes would they even fit because there isn't much room for the exhaust.
