RHD? WTF? Why?permabanned wrote:looks great. now get a holden front cut and rock out holden front end conversion and RHD
As for the rest: Don't mess with awesome. I know "Pontiac" is a dirty word to some folks, but FFS that car doesn't take shit from anybody.
I think in another thread we discussed the merits of blue. This GTO is blue inside and out, making it an unstoppable force...it was already a mass producer of kicked asses just for being a GTO, but blue on blue takes it to a level unattainable by most models in any configuration.

I've been waiting for a legitimate reason to post this:
Re: ColJessip's 2006 Pontiac GTO
i always loved the gto from the late 60's- the new modern one takes too much away from the "muscle" aspect of the old schoolness
great car nonetheless, it may not have the looks i crave, but is a monster under the hood

Re: ColJessip's 2006 Pontiac GTO
The original GTO was a Pontiac Tempest with a larger engine. Basically, they took a normal small car (small for the time), stuck a big engine in it, and sold it for cheap. I think the new GTO kind of carries on this legacy, it just looks like a normal Pontiac, but it has a massive engine under the hood, RWD, and its fairly cheap and light. They could've did like Ford and Chrysler did, making the GTO retro, but honestly I think its kind of played out. When I first saw the GTO when it came out back in 03/04, I thought it looked like a huge Cavalier, but the more I've seen of them the more I notice the aggressive lines the cars have. Its true that the body design is pretty conservative, but I don't think of it as an over-sized Cavalier anymore.kwak88 wrote:i always loved the gto from the late 60's- the new modern one takes too much away from the "muscle" aspect of the old schoolness

You need to get an 'F' off of another car and change it to 'Pontiac GTFO'. That would be awesome.

However, the "GTFO" custom plate idea is pretty popular...

About the sound quality, don't put the video camera so close to the exhaust and the sound won't suck.
Cars are loud, I don't know why everyone thinks the sound quality will sound good if you're 3" from the exhaust, all it does is hit the peaks and distort everything. The camera will pick it up just fine.
P.S. just watched the video and the sound doesn't suck that bad lol
